Jollof Rice with Chicken

Jollof rice is a staple dish in West Africa made with rice, tomatoes, tomato paste, bell pepper, scotch bonnet pepper, onions, and seasonings. The dish is then served with a protein of your choice (chicken, beef, goat meat, fish, turkey, etc.) and other sides (plantain, salad, moi-moi, etc.). Whether you prefer the smoky Nigerian “party jollof rice” or other flavours from Ghana and Senegal, we have you covered!

Isi Ewu

Isi Ewu is a dish that is usually mistaken for the dish Nkwobi because they both have similar ingredients. Peculiar to South-eastern Nigeria, a celebration is not complete in the absence of Isi Ewu.

Suya is by far one of the most popular street foods in Nigeria and common in some other parts of West Africa. It is traditionally made with barbecued beef skewers and the signature ‘yaji’ spice which originated from the northern part of Nigeria and garnished with your choice of vegetables, including tomatoes, onions, cabbage, cucumber, or lettuce Contemporary Suya recipes also work well with goat meat and chicken.

As someone who loves options, and variety I have really enjoyed using Soup’n’Side Xpress whilst ordering from restaurants or caterers. It’s easy to use and well laid out with a great feature in narrowing down and choosing the type of cuisine I want based on my country of choice. I love the fact I can input my postcode and filter restaurants in my local area in seconds! Also, I had never thought of trying Eritrean food, but seeing the different cuisine options available makes me really want to try new things. I would highly recommend it!

Soup 'n' Sides makes it very easy for me to order from African restaurants. In the past, I have had to search through google to get an African restaurant in my city. Soup 'n' Sides puts all of them on one platform and it makes it easy for me to browse through and order from a restaurant of choice. The website is also straightforward and easy to use.

Until Soup’n’Sides was recommended, I was unaware of a few African restaurants there were close to me. I can now try them all out, each unique to its own.

Never feel too far from home.. eat African!
